Edward is a Leapwise Associate who specialises in behavioural change, leadership and culture. He helps organisations deliver mission critical projects and create positive performance environments. Edward’s focus is on achieving tangible results through rapid purposeful execution, identifying and aligning leadership teams around common goals, resolving potential hurdles and developing each individual’s mindset and behaviours to overcome the challenges collectively. Psychology and implementation of effective decision-making are at the heart of the journey.
Edward brings to his work knowledge of leading theories of culture, performance and change from the domains of psychology and business and deep operational and strategic leadership experience in high performing organisations. He began his career in the British Army, serving for 9 years as an officer on multiple operational tours in Afghanistan and Iraq to maintain security, mentor indigenous forces, and train the British Army for operations. He then worked as a consultant to FTSE 250 companies for the Boston Consulting Group, specialising in transforming culture, compliance, performance and future workforce across multiple sectors including Retail, Tech, Finance, Oil and Gas and Mining. He was then a Senior Manager at Amazon, leading the UK Consumables Marketplace team through a period of accelerated growth.
More recently Edward grew the European team in a start-up, co-founded by a former Professor of Psychology from Harvard and a senior McKinsey leader, that enabled blue chip organisations to develop programs to identify, implement and scale up high performance behaviours to deliver effective transformations. Edward has a BSc in Experimental Psychology from the University of Bristol, holds a Queen’s Commission from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, is an executive coach and a mentor for social entrepreneurs.
