Client Impact
Tanvi recently led a project accelerating the performance of the Hertfordshire Local Criminal Justice Board. Commissioned by the local PCC, Leapwise was engaged to benchmark Hertfordshire LCJB’s performance and identify challenges and opportunities for further initiatives to accelerate collective action, including focus areas of improving support for prolific offenders with substance dependency into treatment, and increasing the use of out of court resolutions to reduce system demand and improve outcomes for individuals.
The recommendations have helped drive an evidence–based understanding of multi-agency collaboration and produced a nuanced system-wide understanding of key issues. In doing so, the LCJB supported better coordinated, collaborative action. The achievements of the team are a product of Hertfordshire OPCC’s commitment to evidence-based working towards shared priorities across the LCJB including criminal justice agencies and other partners including the third sector. Tanvi’s detailed analysis and ability to synthesise perspectives in order to create shared understanding of issues while working at pace embodies the Leapwise approach, and is a valuable part of her client’s success.
“Leapwise worked closely with the OPCC and key partners while scoping the challenges facing the LCJB. Reviewing the Board’s past successes, the current landscape, and stakeholders’ priorities, the team were able to guide productive discussions and assist in our understanding of cost and demand in the CJS. The in-depth reviews on Out of Court Resolutions and the prolific shoplifting cohort helped to inform operational practices and the Board’s 2024-25 delivery plan.“
