Meet Robyn Whitaker

Robyn is a senior consultant at Leapwise. She is passionate about helping public sector organisations improve their organisational and leadership strategy through a combination of impact-focused strategic decision-making, and working across organisations to help leaders understand what their workforce expects from them 

Professional Experience  

At Leapwise, Robyn has worked across several projects in leadership and organisational development, public policy, and business transformation. Prior to joining Leapwise, Robyn completed an MSc in International Business and Economics at Durham University, and a First Class Honours Degree from the University of Leeds. Robyn also worked for a legal advisory service for those facing court without representation while completing her undergraduate degree. 

Ways of Working   

Robyn has a keen eye for detail and enjoys distilling and cutting through complexity to support public sector leaders making critical decisions. Her experience working in legal advisory services has provided her with a detailed understanding of the complex challenges facing criminal justice agencies; this appreciation drives her motivation to support their critical public function. She enjoys working at pace and bringing together data analysis with a grounded understanding of people’s experiences in order to help public sector leaders develop impactful solutions to complex challenges.

Client Impact  

Robyn recently worked with Avon and Somerset Police to transform their leadership training offer. In 2023, the force sought to make the most of the latest wave of police recruitment by investing in leadership development. Our partnership focused on developing a new vision for team leadership across the force, with an emphasis on developing first line leaders – a crucial aspect of the integration and growth of new recruits. The designed curriculum is now being rolled out across the force, with a number of pilots tested to refine the session design and delivery. Robyn’s success is defined by her ability to work through complexity, engage individuals across organisations, and develop behaviourally informed insights that can inform both high-level strategy and its day-to-day implementation, and is a valuable part of her client’s success.   

When she isn’t working, Robyn can be found reading, watching rugby, playing tennis or travelling.
