Professional Experience

Annie has recently rejoined Leapwise after working in the tech industry developing behaviour change solutions to reduce carbon emissionsAnnie has worked with a range of public sector organisations including local government and police forces. This work has involved evidence-based approaches, such as building a strategic portfolio of behaviour change approaches to reduce fly-tipping, and work on prevention interventions and investments within local government.  Annie is particularly skilled at combining behavioural insights with an understanding of public service investments, ensuring that commissioning decisions maximise public benefit.

Effective decision making requires a comprehensive understanding of human behaviour. By integrating behavioural science, we can design strategies that drive sustainable positive change

Client Impact

At Leapwise, Annie works on policy, evaluation, and behaviour change projects She brings experience working with a range of UK public sector organisations.  Her contributions have led to improvements in service delivery and policy implementation Annie’s analytical rigour and strategic insights have helped clients achieve their goals more effectively, fostering positive change and measurable impact across various initiatives. Her recent projects include a London council police team review, where the council was approaching a decision on whether to renew the contracted police team.   Annie helped the council to understand the role of the police team and how their work integrates with the council’s services.  She developed several options for the council, including the implications for each one, providing valuable insights to support effective policy decisions.  Annie led the analysis and output creation and engaged with stakeholders across the council and partner organisations.

Similarly, Annie recently supported a major strategy and turnaround project with a police force This police force was in the HMICFRS Engage process and required substantial improvements to exit this process.  Supported by the strategy work of Leapwise, the force exited Engage earlier than expectedAnnie’s role on the project included root cause analysis, workshop design and facilitation, and supporting decision making by force leadership to achieve a step change in their strategy and planning work.

When she isn’t working, Annie can be found cooking, climbing, or planning her next destination to tick off from her ever-growing travel list.
