Meet Valeria Ilies
Valeria is our newest Senior Manager at Leapwise. With extensive experience in consulting and change management projects, Valeria will be leading our strategy and transformation work going forward.
Professional Experience
Valeria has joined Leapwise after nine years in healthcare management consulting within the NHS. In her most recent role as an Assistant Director, Valeria successfully managed over 40 diverse projects and programmes, covering strategy development, target operating model design and delivery, workforce transformation, service and pathway reviews, business case development, cost optimisation programmes, and work on population health outcomes.
In her previous roles, she worked with a wide range of public sector organisations including national, regional, and local commissioners, social care bodies, hospitals, GPs, local authorities, and integrated care boards.
A few examples of Valeria’s impactful projects include:
- Collaborating with the Health and Justice team within the NHS to review services for child victims of sexual abuse
- Creating the Population Health Outcomes Framework for a London Integrated Care Board
- Developing a targeted operating model for healthcare response and incident management as part of emergency preparedness, resilience and response (EPRR) guidance
Valeria is a Chartered Management Consultant with an MBA and accreditations in programme and project management (Managing Successful Programmes and Agile project management). She is also an On Purpose Fellow, a leadership programme focused on social impact and social enterprise.

Valeria is motivated by collaborating and making an impact through developing solutions to complex public sector challenges. She thrives under pressure and in fast-paced environments. She is structured, focused, and empowering of colleagues in driving forward projects to ensure success.
She believes that the public sector can and must be efficient and effective for all, particularly the most vulnerable. Achieving that means investing in the right strategies, people and enabling infrastructure.

With over 17 years of strategy and transformation experience and her background as an On Purpose Fellow passionate about how business can be a force for social good, she is well placed to drive impact with public sector organisations across the crime, security, and justice sectors.
When she isn’t working, Valeria can be found playing tennis, hiking, or just enjoying a meal with a group of friends.
